Copywriting and Speech Writing – Dan will construct marketing and sales copy for clients who supply him with general product or service specifications and information about intended audiences/customers and the proposed platform and market. Speech content is coordinated with the speaker or his/her agent. Rate: $45/hr
Original Content Production – Dan will conduct the necessary research and write content of a specified length about the topic requested with the stipulation that he will not write about subjects or topics he feels unqualified or personally uncomfortable writing about. Original content includes material for websites, blogs, print publications, podcasts and presentations. Rate: $55/hr
Book Editing/Ghost Writing – Dan will work with the author to arrive at a fair rate. The amount charged varies according to the length and complexity of the work being edited, but generally ranges from $2 to $5 per page.
Delivery Formats – Completed projects are sent to clients as Word documents, PDFs or PowerPoint presentations via email attachments or USPS.
Retainer Option – Some of Dan’s clients have opted to retain his services for a predetermined monthly fee in exchange for an exclusivity of service agreement whereby Dan will not write or produce content for a direct competitor while under retainer. Rate: $200/month
Right of Refusal – Dan Carlson reserves the right to refuse services to any individual, group, business, agency or organization for any reason. The most common reasons for turning down potential clients are a full workload, existing retainer exclusivity arrangements with a potential competitor, or scheduling conflicts that Dan feels would not allow him adequate time or resources to complete the requested assignment in a manner consistent with his high standards for quality.
